Something borrowed, something blue

I'll let you figure out what's what :)

This skirt has been a challenging addition to my capsule. I had grandiose plans for it, big ideas. But in reality, on my petite frame and considering my usual formula of jeans and a top, this skirt proved more puzzling than I thought it would be. However, some trial and error, I realized a couple of things about it. It feels most comfortable when dressed down with sweaters or tees, or when offset with an unexpected silhouette (i.e. a crop top). I love the look of this really worn-in oversized tee to keep it from feeling too precious or dainty. It feels on-trend with the coming back of vintage graphic tees, and yet it still feels classic by the way of the skirt and timeless color scheme. I've also found that these sandals, or similar breeds of leg-lengthening footwear, are crucial for making this skirt work with my short stature. Interestingly, though, I also like it with sneakers and flats, but when it comes to heels - nude feels best.
